What are the benefits for business?

The benefits of DID numbers come down to reach and control without physical infrastructure. Because the number is software-defined and delivered over SIP, you gain flexibility that a wired line cannot offer:

  • Local presence without offices. Publish a local or national number in a market where you have no premises, so customers dial a familiar in-country number instead of an international one.

  • Emergency-service calling. A DID has no fixed physical location, so it cannot reliably tell an emergency service where a caller is.   • SMS support varies by number type. Not every DID receives or sends SMS.
