Outbound & Campaign Calling
Local numbers that get your outbound calls answered
When your campaign shows up as an unknown or foreign number, most people never pick up. Present a genuine local caller ID — one you are authorised to use — in 100+ countries, and give every market a number it recognises. Availability varies by country and number type, and is shown at order.
Local caller ID & answer rates
Familiarity is what earns the pickup
Outbound sales lives or dies on the first ring. People screen aggressively: an international dial code, a withheld number or a string that doesn't look like anywhere they know is the fastest route to voicemail. A number that reads as local and legitimate in the region you're dialling removes that first objection before a word is spoken.
With Temptera you can place a local presence in each market your team works — a local or national number where those types are available — so a prospect in a given city sees a number that belongs to their world, not a call centre on another continent. The lift comes from trust, not tricks: the number is real, two-way and yours to stand behind.
- Local presence in the markets you actually call, across 100+ countries.
- Real, dialable numbers — not disposable or throwaway IDs.
- Number types vary by country; what's available is shown at order.
Local presence lifts pickup — illustrative, not a guarantee.
Present a caller ID you're authorised to use
Only ever show a number that is truly yours
Local presence is a trust signal — so it has to be honest. Temptera lets you set the caller ID on outbound calls, but only to a number you hold or are demonstrably authorised to present.
Numbers you buy from us
Any local number you order from Temptera is yours to present as caller ID on outbound campaigns — no extra proof needed, because ownership is on your account.
Numbers you already own
Presenting a number you hold elsewhere? We verify your right to use it — by porting it in, or with documentation — before it goes out as your campaign caller ID.
Never someone else's
Spoofing a number you have no right to is prohibited and, in many markets, unlawful. Where number authentication such as caller-ID attestation is supported, honest presentation helps your calls survive it.
Caller-ID rules and attestation frameworks vary by country and are subject to local regulation.
Acceptable use & anti-fraud
Responsible calling is the condition, not the footnote
Temptera is a licensed carrier, and campaign traffic that abuses the network puts every legitimate caller at risk. So the rules are simple, and they are enforced. Read the full Acceptable Use Policy before you launch.
| We expect | We prohibit |
|---|---|
| Authorised caller ID | Presenting a number you own or are authorised to use. |
| Lawful consent | Dialling in line with local consent, registration and do-not-call rules in every market you call. |
| Honest identity | Clearly identifying who is calling and why — no impersonation of banks, agencies or brands. |
| Respect for the called party | Observing local calling hours, frequency limits and opt-out requests. |
| No fraud or spoofing | No number spoofing, scam, phishing, wangiri or other fraudulent calling — accounts are suspended for breaches. |
Traffic is monitored for anomalous and fraudulent patterns. Compliance with the calling and consent laws of each destination is your responsibility as the caller; Temptera provides the numbering and network and enforces the Acceptable Use Policy on top.
Inbound callbacks to the same number
The number you dial from is a number they can call back
A local caller ID only builds trust if it behaves like a real line. Many campaign tools present a number that goes nowhere when a prospect rings back — which reads as a scam the moment someone tries. Temptera numbers are genuine two-way DIDs: the same local number you present on outbound calls receives inbound calls too.
So when a prospect misses your call and rings the number back an hour later, they reach your team — routed to the SIP endpoint, contact centre, PBX or AI agent you nominate. One number, both directions, on one carrier path. That continuity is part of what makes a local presence credible instead of disposable.
- Callbacks land on the same number your campaign presented.
- Route inbound to any SIP destination, contact centre or agent you choose.
- Pair with local numbers for AI agents to answer overflow and after-hours callbacks automatically.
Out and back on one local number.

Does a local caller ID actually improve answer rates on outbound calls?
A number that reads as local and familiar in the market you are calling tends to be answered more often than an unknown, foreign or withheld number. Temptera provides local numbers across 100+ countries so your campaign can present a recognisable local presence in each market, subject to availability by country and number type.
Can I present a caller ID I do not own?
No. You may only present a caller ID that belongs to you or that you are demonstrably authorised to use. Spoofing a number you have no right to is prohibited under our Acceptable Use Policy and by law in many markets. We ask you to verify ownership or authorisation before a number is used as an outbound caller ID.
What does Temptera require for outbound campaign calling?
Campaigns must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy and with the calling, consent and do-not-call rules of every market you dial. We expect authorised caller ID, respect for local calling hours and opt-outs, and honest identification of who is calling. Traffic is monitored for fraud and abuse, and accounts that breach the policy can be suspended.
What happens when someone calls my campaign number back?
The local number you present on outbound calls is a real two-way number. Callbacks return to the same number and route to your chosen destination — a SIP endpoint, PBX, contact centre or AI agent — so a prospect who rings back reaches you rather than a dead line.
Can I use these numbers with my existing dialer or contact-centre stack?
Yes. The numbers are delivered over standard SIP, so they work with SIP-capable dialers, contact-centre platforms and softswitches such as FreeSWITCH, Asterisk or 3CX. Temptera supplies the numbering and the carrier path; you keep your existing tooling.
